Accessing Webmail

How to access webmail directly

There might have been a time where your outlook seemed to have stopped working and you needed urgent access to your email account, you searched through your mailbox looking for that email you got from us with your details to log into your hosting plan but no luck.

We get so many calls every day saying that “my email has stopped working”, but don’t worry, we have sorted out your problems with this article.

We have created a program that will be able to show you where to log into your web mail. Your webmail is a mailbox that’s directly accessible from your browser, no need for third party programs such as Outlook.

Right let’s get into it, it’s not difficult at all and pictures have been included for clarification purposes.

HOW CONNECT TO YOUR MAILBOX DIRECTLY?

STEP 1: Please go to : https://mxtoolbox.com/ , type in your domain into the “Domain Name” search bar. Click enter and copy the IP Address Result you receive.

You should receive this type of result after typing in your domain.

STEP 2: If you see your domain name on the left and IP on the right, please copy your IP Address into the following window to get your final result.

Input IP

Please follow the instructions after putting your IP Address in to directly access your webmail account.

EXCEPTION:
If the domain name is not visible on the left and you can see mx1.emailsrvr.com or mx2.emailsrvr.com, go to: https://premier.webworld.ie to log in to your email account.

I DON’T SEE MY IP ADDRESS, WHAT SHOULD I DO?

If that isn’t what you got in the result tab and you received something like this, it means that your domain is redirected, or your domain can be expired. In both cases please contact support using support@webworld.ie:
a) Expired domain:

Emails could stop working from various reasons, most common reason though is an expired domain. If a domain is expired, the emails and websites connected to it stop working.
b) Email spam filtering enabled:

If you have any queries you can reach us at TEL (01) 495 1112 or email us using support@webworld.ie

Premium Domains

Daily, we get requests from clients to register the usual domain names. Most of them are usual domain names that end in .com or .ie. Very rarely do we run into a domain type which is also referred to as a “Premium Domain”. What is a premium domain you’re wondering, a premium domain has a very high value due to its potential of becoming a very popular website name. The reason they are different to normal domains is because the registrars put their registration price at a much higher price than normal. They can also up the cost of the renewals after registration and even transfers!

All premium domains are different from each other, each registrar might own a couple of premium domains which they will value at their own idea of the domain. One premium domain might cost a couple thousand euro while the other might cost a hundred euro. For example, the domain food.me costs €7840 to register. Just to show another couple examples of domains, vaxe.com costs $28,999, cybermate.com costs $24,999 and vufu.com costs $42,999.

Why does this domain cost so much?

As I mentioned above, it can cost a lot because of the fact that it has a high potential of being a very popular website name. Or even from the past, the registrar saw that this domain attracted a lot of attention from the client and decided to up the price for the next person that will want to register the domain.

Can I check if a domain is premium?

There is no specific way to tell when a domain is “Premium”, there are many factors that go into the “Premium” statement. You can use a website such as name.com to check if a domain is premium. Simply type the domain name in and take a look at the results that come up, if a domain is declared premium then a purple banner will appear on top of the domain saying that it’s premium.

Is it worth buying a premium domain?

There is no specific answer to this question as it depends on the position of your business or anything related to the domain. As the example above, food.me cost over seven thousand euro and could be very important to a food provider.

The domain market is really an interesting place as it is constantly changing and evolving, there are constantly new extensions added into the market which allow a lot of new domains to get registered that will make surfing the web even more exciting than it already is!

Premium Domains, what are they?

My Emails are blocked!

My Email is blocked! What can I do?

We tend to get this call quite often in regards to users being blocked on our firewalls. There are multiple reasons why you can get blocked on our firewalls. The most common scenario is that you typed a password in too many times or a device that you’re logged in at is constantly trying to log in using a wrong password. In this short blog article I will be able to guide you through a quick tutorial that you can use in the future to check for yourself if you are blocked on the firewall.

So how do I tell if I am blocked or not?

It is really simple, if you can see your website or you can see the log in page onto your webmail that means you are not blocked on the firewall and it is a completely different issue. However, if you can’t see your website or the webmail page at all, and it’s showing up as “connection timed out” or “can’t reach” that means you are blocked. Everything linked to the domain will now stop working from your IP address. That means you will not be able to send out or receive emails. Below you can see an example of being unblocked and blocked. The picture on the left shows a functional log in page for our webmail service, while the picture on the right shows an error while trying to display it. That’s how you can tell the difference in being blocked.

How can I get myself unblocked?

To get yourself unblocked, there are 3 ways of doing it. You can ring us and tell us you’ve been blocked by providing your IP address. You can use websites such as https://ping.eu/ to get your IP address. You can also email us providing your IP address or you can wait until your block is over.

Is there a way I can do it myself?

Unfortunately, there isn’t a simple way to unblock yourself as you would need direct access to the firewall which only our engineers do.

If I block myself, will that stop my website from displaying to other people?

No, the block is only happening on your IP address which is specifically given to you. Everyone else will be able to see your website as usual.

If I block myself, are other people in the office blocked too?

They will be blocked if they are on the same IP address as you. If they are on a different IP address they will be able to use their emails as normal.

If I’m blocked, can it be my phone’s fault?

If any of your details were changed recently in regards to your email address, you will need to update them on every device as that device will keep trying to log in automatically if you set it to remember your password. This will cause you to keep getting blocked over and over again.

In future, how can I reduce the chances of myself being blocked?

You can reduce the chances of being blocked by letting your mail application remember your password, or letting your browser remember it also. This will eliminate the chance of typing in the password incorrectly multiple times. If your password does get changed, please remember to update it straight away so your machine knows that the password has changed.

If you do have any questions regarding this blog or anything to do with our services or products, please email us at support@webworld.ie or ring us at TEL: (01) 495 1112. We will be glad to help you out.
